Neck Pain
Ever woken up with a ‘crick in your neck’ or just feel ‘out’. Neck pain is a common complaint that can be acute such as waking up and not being able to move your neck or more longstanding. The symptoms range from sharp to achy pain, muscle spasms and pains in the arms and shoulders. Headaches also commonly occur with neck pain (see headaches tab). Neck pain can be caused by many things including:
- Whiplash Injury
- Sleeping awkwardly
- Falls
- Posture and more
At the Body Clinic, our Osteopaths can assess and treat your neck and surrounding areas using techniques such as stretching, massage and mobilisation to help improve mobility and reduce pain. We can also offer advice about posture, work station ergonomics and give useful tips to help you prevent your neck pain long term.
